Can start in row four, use duellist's advance, targetting row 4. The highwayman does do more damage than a GR on average. If you combine the occultist with a HM you can pierce stealth with the OCC's mark and the HM will do double damage on it, making up for the OCC's missed attack. You can make a party with four HMs and go anywhere, do anything.īut yeah about the dog treat - unless you're fighting a boss, just use it on the first two fights. What can't he do? His stun's even better than the ♥♥♥'s, his mark basically makes bleed and blight obsolete, he can hit the back, he's fast, he heals stress (sorta) he's even got that guard. Houndmaster is probably the second most powerful class in the game, not including healers who aren't optional. Or you can forgo transformation and use him as a stunbot with damage. Basically OCC-JES-♥♥♥-X, in which case he's a fast leper with reach. To get the ♥♥♥ to work you have to build an entire party around him. Go into dungeons with afflicted heroes - why not? The jester will fix it. With a jester you can ignore stress casters the way a healer lets you wipe away health damage.

Crusader only heals 2/3rds as much and is literally the slowest character, and the HM is actually even better at AOE stress - except stress problems come as spikes on a single character. His point is he's the only real stress healer in the game. Yes, the rest of his skills are undertuned. The occultist is a better healer than the vestal, because he is fast. Example: arbalest, houndmaster and bountyhunter, occultist can place marks but I don't remember if he is benefited by it, and highwayman (ranged build) and graverobber (ranged build) are benefited by it but if I remember well they can't place marks. And skills: if you have a character benefited by marks, bring along them someone which can mark or can also be benefited by it.Location: don't bring someone like hellion or flagellant to the Ruins or Cove.Team composition: which character works better with.So if you bring, for example, a crusader, take in mind that maybe, depending in the party composition, you may want to equip the crusader with this skill that makes him able to attack from 3+4. He moves, not as much as the jester, but he moves. You want to heal yourself drinking from my highwayman, you hellish mosquito? No way. I like him in Ruins, against Shambler, bosses with a lot of summons and against vampires. However, I played him as melee never as a ranged character. I'm not good at exploiting his good points. I brought him against Vvulf because best stress heal hands down. Not my favourite thing to do with him, but you can.
#DARKEST DUNGEON CLASSES FULL#
In some scenarios (bosses), you can build him full dodge and protect other characters. Sit back and enjoy the bloodfest.Īt the same time, the occultist can place marks so it also benefits the houndmaster. Try occultist+houndmaster+flagellant+hellion in either warrens or weald.

#DARKEST DUNGEON CLASSES PLUS#
Plus to what Esce said, houndmaster is also great along with flagellant and hellion. I can't say much about abomination, I don't play him much.
