The guys did a great job replacing every single moldy sheet of OSB with fresh, reshingling, and venting. Yes, they were a few hours late on Saturday but I was warned that was a possibility with all the rain that week and he messaged in plenty of time and let me know they would be later than expected because they were finishing up the previous job. He personally sat at our property most of Saturday and supervised. His guys also helped my husband remove the gutter so we could fix the facia board ourselves and save money. He made allowances and time for my husband to get up on the roof and fix the soffit venting issue while the OSB was off so that we didn't have to bring in the siding company and pay to have it done. When I told him I was nervous he made sure I knew what was being done at what price, had copies of permits, knew where supplies were bought so I could call and verify, sent pictures of roofs they were working on so I could see their work, and delivered all supplies BEFORE cashing my deposit check. His prices were good and he included clean up of the old shingles from our shed roof that my husband had done himself. He actually showed care about our family and the health issue.Ī week after I told him I wanted him to do the job he fit us in on the weekend since his crews were also busy with hail jobs. AJ messaged or called back within a few hours (usually within minutes) every time I contacted him. Even if they could have been bothered most were warning that getting the job done would be 6-8 weeks out and I couldn't have mold continuing to grow. Once they realized it was a cash job and not insurance nobody was interested or cared to call me back including the one company that came out to do an estimate-they never followed through or gave me the estimate even after I called back several times. I was only ever able to get one other company to even come out to look. He came out that same week to check things out and give an estimate. AJ was the first person I was able to talk to. I called 5 different local companies that were recommended to me by different people.
This was a huge problem not only as a threat to our home but because one of my children is allergic to mold. We had a minimal hail damage to our roof but discovered in the process of checking it out that we had a more serious problem of mold lining the inside of our OSB because of a venting problem.
